Our staff is trained and certified by the following organizations:

The Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) National Training and Data Center (NTDC) conducts training, certification, technical assistance, and professional development activities that support professional work incentives counselors across the country serving Social Security beneficiaries with disabilities. Our Community Partner Work Incentives Counselors (CPWICs) go through a rigorous testing and certification program, annual web courses, live webinars, on-demand learning modules, an ongoing continuing education program, and extensive individualized technical assistance to assist individuals and provide accurate and timely benefits counseling for beneficiaries with disabilities as they pursue their employment and economic self-sufficiency goals.

Our Peer Mentoring program is targeted for youth from ages 14 - 21 who are a part of the Foster family system, have a physical or developmental disability, and have had involvement with the judicial system.
This program provides one on one interaction with the individual and a peer mentor to provide guidance and assist with the sometimes difficult move from a student to a responsible adult.

Pre-Employment Transition Services
This program is slated to begin in May of 2025 and run for two months. As we gain more insight on parent and student interest, the program may have the potential to expand. Each individual will require an IEP or a 504 and be entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year of high school.
The Driver's Education component will not include any physical driving or riding in a vehicle. This will only assist in studying to pass their written permit exam.

Rhonda Snyder (L) and Blaice Stephan (R) from the LIFE Center Employment Network Department provide information at an event to promote Youth Transitioning from school into the working world.
