Donate to the LIFE Center Today!

The LIFE Center For Independent Living is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization that operates using funds from Missouri Medicaid and grants provided through the Missouri Department of Vocational Rehabilitation.  Often these funds are not adequate to help us provide the superior service we strive to deliver to our consumers.

Here are just a few examples of the additional opportunities that your support

helps us to provide:

Consumer Appreciation Days

Each year we provide one or more Consumer Appreciation Days.  On these days, we prepare food, provide indoor and/or outdoor activities, games, prizes and give-a-ways, and enjoy each other's company away from our work.

A middle aged female is leaning down between two childtren and pulling them toward her. She has on pink bunny ears and is smiling brightly. The children are smiling also and everyone seems very happy.
Annual Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt

Each year at Easter, we provide a Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt for both children with physical and developmental disabilities and adults with developmental disabilities.  Since 2021, this event has grown from more than 40 special needs hunters per year to over 100.  All provided free to the public with any developmental disability.

A Consumer Christmas Meal

Each year we spend a few weeks cutting, baking, and preparing a Christmas Meal that is home delivered to over 500 people in a single day.  It meal is complete with ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, a roll, and a desert.  Without the help of our local  businesses, partners, and community support, we could never do this.
